  • I helped promote sustainability and environmentally friendly practices during Columbia, MO's largest film festival by helping fest-goers properly sort waste, assisting in festival set up and clean up and and ensuring proper recycling, composting and trash flow. The Green Team collected 2,580.91 pounds of food waste and 1,777.99 pounds of recycle as well as diverted 87.94% of event waste from the landfill.

  • I volunteered at the Citizen Jane Film Festival at Stephens College, the second oldest women’s college in the country by working the box office, setting up and breaking down, and doing whatever random tasks I was needed for. This annual film festival has the purpose of changing opportunities for women in film through an internationally known film festival, film series, and filmmaking camp for young women.
